Christmas
Crafts: Tree with circle cutouts
Make a Christmas tree with circle cutouts. I like to make Christmas crafts that are easy for toddlers to do.
To make this Christmas
tree craft you
will need the following:
Materials:
·
Cone shaped party hat
·
Kitchen paper roll
·
Colored papers- Light green, dark green, red and brown
·
Chart paper (thick) - Green
·
Transparent tape
·
Glue
·
Craft Sequins – star shape or pom poms
·
Bowl
·
Artificial clay
Tools:
Scissors
Method:
1.
Cut out circles from light green and dark green construction
paper. You can take the help of a circle puncher. I prefer doing it with my own
hands.
2.
Make a whole bunch of circles. I can’t tell you the exact amount
of circles to be made. First make 70- 80
pieces of different sized circles, then if you need more you can always make afterwards.
3.
Make a Cone– shaped Party Hat using thick chart paper.
4.
Put glue only on the top of the circle and stick the first
circle in such a way that it doesn't cross the edge of the cone.
5.
Stick the next circle
slightly overlapping the first one.
6.
Continue doing until you go all around the bottom.
7.
For the second layer, stick the circles slightly higher and in
between two circles of the first layer.
8.
Do the same thing until the whole cone is covered.
9.
Next, roll the kitchen paper roll with brown construction paper
and glue the kitchen paper roll with the brown paper.
10.
Put glue at one of the open end of the kitchen roll and place it
inside the circles covered cone. Let it dry for some time.
11.
To help the tree stand up use a small pot or bowl. Fill it with
artificial clay and set the tree right in it.
12.
Once the tree is done, put a star on the top of the tree and use
sequins or tiny pompoms to decorate it.
